Fall Festival

Saturday one of the churches in town (among many) was holding a festival......bouncers, horse rides, food, games, etc. We unfortuntely didn't get there with alot of time to spare so by the time we finished eating we only had about 30 minutes. So Christian found a friend out there, Noah. This is a friend of mine little boy. They were adorable. As soon as we finished eating they grabbed hands and started out the door to go play. I love the innocence of this age. No worries about what others think if 2 boys are holding hands. It's the true innocence of friends.
Not sure what she was doing......for some reason wherever we go she will find a bush to go play in. Just a cute picture here.

Christian getting his hand painted. He was getting a spider. He didn't want it on his face so Mrs. Gracey put it on his hand.

His favorite place.

Love these pictures of my sweet babies!

Trunk or Treat

So the new thing to do at Halloween with the kids is called Trunk or Treat. Usually churches are the ones that put it together. It's alot safer than going door to door but it's the same concept. So people get together and decorate the trunks of thier cars. Some decorate fallish with pumpkins and hay.......some decorate religiously with signs, verses and crosses, and as I seen tonight, some don't decorate at all but still give out candy. The children then go trunk to trunk and get candy.

So this year, Christian was Superman (even though a day before halloween he decided to be a dinosaur. Unfortunately with such short notice he had to stick to Superman.)

And Grace was our little 50's girl. Even though I forgot her scarf. Oh well, she probably wouldn't have worn it anyway.

This was my poor attempt to get the children to stand together so I could get thier picture. Grace was to worried about running off and Christian, well just notice his candy bucket. Enough said.

I love when they hold hands. Such sweet sibling love.

Grace was finally getting the concept of actually walking up to the people to get candy. At the beginning she would stand beside me and hold her bucket out. The candy givers had to come to HER.....isn't that so typical of a true diva anyway?

Such a handsome Superman!

Fly superman fly!!

After we left the trunk or treat, we came home and bathed the kids. We then ended our halloween night with these bones.

These bones of the body love to walk around
These bones of the body love to jump around
These bones of the body love to dance around
We love these body bones

My trip to the ER

Boy oh boy did my night not turn out like it was suppose to. I woke up on Saturday morning around 2am with my back in major pain. I couldn't get back to sleep until around 5ish. Well Saturday we had such a big day planned with the kids and I wasn't going to allow my back to screw it up. So we got dressed and headed to the festivals. (blogging about that later) By the time we started home (around 5) I was in pain. majorly. When we got home I took a hot bath with Epson salt to try to get it to stop hurting. Well it did but only while I was in the bath. When I got out I got on the heating pad. Didn't help. Poor Grace wanted me to rock her to sleep but I was in so much pain I couldn't even hold her in the chair to rock her. I was in tears. When I lost my dinner to my friend John, we decided to go to the ER. Well that was a crock of macaroni. We sat in there for 6 hours. My diagnosis when we left? Back pain. Really???? Wow didn't know my back was hurting! Thanks for fixing me you jack legs!
He sent me home with pain meds and muscle relaxers. He said that my blood looked fine and my urine looked fine. They were thinking that it may be an UTI but it wasn't. He also said that it may be my gall bladder b/c that sometimes sends pain to the tummy area too. But to determine that I needed an ultrasound which they don't do on nights and weekends. (I thought they were a hospital and had all that equipment ready on a moments notice? Oh yeah, we are talking McLeod here) So now I have to make a doctors appointment with a doctor that I don't have to have an ultrasound done. Oh yeah and the ER doctor said if my pain persist to come back to see him. Well I guess I'll be seeing you real soon doc!! Thanks for nothing!

Now, onto the episode of the evil nurse. That heifer comes in and starts telling me about the medications the doctor is sending me home with. I ask her if any of them come in liquid form or if they are pills I can chew. (nasty I know) She told me that I would have to ask the pharmacist and then asked me if I couldn't swallow pills. I told her no, I've never been able to. She said "Do you swallow food?" I of course said yes, knowing where this was going and already getting hot under the collar. She said then if you swallow food you can swallow pills. I looked at her and very slowly said No I cannot. I've been trying to take pills for 28 years. I cannot do it! She then proceeds to tell me that there are 2 and 3 year olds swallowing pills and that yes I can do it. I wanted to come off that bed and smack the you know what out of her. I looked at Jason and said are you hearing this??!!!??!!?? I then bit my tongue. I did NOT want to bit my tongue but I'm trying REALLY hard to control my anger issues. I did not want to end up in jail for smacking a pure IGNORANT bitc.......I mean, woman! Jason later said that he was thinking in his head, woman, if you know whats good for you you would then shut up! Seriously shut up! LOL

I just don't understand why you would argue with someone who had not only been in pain for a day and a half but then always sitting up in the ER for 6 hours, then come into their room telling them what they can and cannot do like she knows all about me. Oh let it roll off the shoulders, rolling off, rolling off........

So this morning I woke up, a little back pain but NOTHING like it was. A stiff neck from sleeping on a makeshift pillow that another sweet nurse made for me (since they were out of pillows) and a headache. None that can't be treated with a little Tylenol. And that's how I spent my Halloween morning.

Red Ribbon Week

Wow! It's really been July since the last time I posted?? Busy summer I guess!
Well now that Christian is well into the school year now (he's in 3K for those that may not know) he is getting used to how things work. He loves school, tells me about his friends everyday and usually comes home with a green dot on his activity calendar. (means he had a great day!)

This past week was Red Ribbon week at his school. They talked to the kids about the importance of not doing drugs. Each day you had to wear something different. Monday was "Red" day. He had to wear something red. I didn't take a picture b/c it was just him in his red shirt. The theme was "I pledge to be a winner"
Tuesday was "I'm a jean-ius, I'm drug free!" day. You guessed it. Wear jeans. Once again no picture.
Wednesday was "I will knot do drugs" they were to wear bow ties, ties, or scarves (something with a knot) So Christian wore his clip on tie. Picture (gasp) is below!

Thursday is Crazy socks day, "Sock it to drugs". We weren't going to participate in this b/c he didn't have crazy socks.......but then on FB someone mentioned that their little boy was wearing his moms crazy socks. OH! I GOT SOME OF THOSE! So with 5 minutes before we were to leave to go to school I rush upstairs to find these.

He loved them. Wanted to sleep in them that night and even got mad the next morning when I went to take them off.
Friday was "Keep your head in the game" We were to show our school/sports team spirit! Well since we aren't sports fans around here I couldn't think of anything Christian owned that had a sports name on it. Thankfully a friend gave us some hand-me-downs not long ago and I found this sweatshirt in with it. And it was the perfect day to wear it. 65 degrees all day. So there you have it. Red Ribbon Week at school. I enjoyed dressing him up and seeing all the other kids dressed up when I went and picked Christian up from school.

Ok, so I know I'm way behind on the blog and I have alot to cover. I will get caught up but please know my blog may tend to skip around abit until I can get caught up. I'm thinking of blogging of the fair now.............
