Kids

So here recently, I've been trying to learn my camera. I've always heard that you can have the BEST camera on the market but until you learn full manual mode picture taking, you will not have used your camera to it's full potential. I love photography. Creative pictures of nature, people, you name it, I love it. Photography in my opinion is an art. And not only is it a creative outlet for me, it also comes in handy with my scrapbooking. Once I learn how to shoot good pictures in manual mode, I will then learn how to make them GREAT photos in Photoshop. Here I've taken these pictures in full manual mode of the kids playing. We have been having beautiful spring weather here so I've been taking full advantage. And the kids have fun. :)

My camera has a setting to shoot in black and white. These are my favorites.

HAHAHA I love this picture. I don't know what they were doing but it looks like Christian is confused and Grace is like "ohhhhhh bubba!" LOL
This picture is blurry I know but I couldn't resist showing this one. I love her random face she is making! LOL
And another "Grace face" :) Do you see how dirty her little face is?? Good grief! But they had fun getting that way!!!!

Good ol' Cleo.

Diva

So I just felt the need to share a little "diva" with you. I walked into the living room just this morning from getting the children's clothes picked out for the day and I found little "diva" playing/wearing my sunglasses. She was so cute sitting there with her "big girl undies" on and mama's sunglasses.

Bored?! Yeah, right

If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times. "Aren't you just so bored being at home all the time?" "I would be so bored being a housewife" etc, etc,......my answer to you is "You apparently don't know my daughter." Here let me introduce to you, the queen of destruction, the "flour" queen, little Miss Tornado, Grace Brune.
I am busy changing loads of clothes and I continuously here the refrigerator beeping letting me know one of the doors is open. I think that Grace just left it open by mistake and think nothing more of it. I go in there after I finish with the clothes to shut the door and I find her. First off I have NO IDEA why she even has Christian's AWANA bag around her neck but it's in the washer now.....secondly, really Grace??? 2 steps forward, 15 back. Gotta love her. She is the reason "I ain't no bored housewife" She keeps me on my toes and keeps me BUSY!!!!

Randomness in our life

So I figured since the random pictures that I take don't all have a theme to "blog about" I'd just put the pictures on here and tell ya a little background on it if any. Even though the pictures may not have an extensive background to tell, they are really just to cute not to blog.
Grace gave me a reason of why I couldn't do laundry that day. While I was trying to change loads, she crawled in and wouldn't come out.Oops, she touched the light. Betcha she didn't do that again.
Straight up chillin'!
Wearing her big brother's flip flops and have them in the wrong toe. Pretty nail polish though huh?
New haircut!
March 2nd was "Read across America" day. This day, the school asked for volunteers to come in and read a book to the children. The children also got to bring thier favorite book to read and they also got to dress up like their favorite character from that book. I betcha can't guess what Christian's (err Buzz's) was can you? I told the teacher that all he had was a PJ top. She said that was fine for him to wear. Oh did he have fun "lasering" everyone that day. I've told him that wasn't nice.
Grace and Christian playing at a friend of Christian's birthday party.
Oh yes, this is what you think it is. Underwear. On her head. Clean mind you but underwear nonetheless. And she did it. Not me. Then she wanted me to pick her up. I wanted the picture. I won. Well not really, after I took the picture I picked her up. :) She has done this several times. We will have fun potty training this one. "No sweetie, the underwear goes on your bottom like this"
I love this boy and his gorgeous smile.

One of the outfits I made Grace.
I think this is her "DIVA WITH ATTITUDE" stance?!?!?!
Oh the joys of parenthood. 5 lbs of sugar, with an 18oz box of cheerios makes a huge mess!!!!

Another outfit I made!

And another outfit made.
As I said, just a few random shots of the kiddos. Hope you enjoyed!!

First Scrimmage

Our coach's wife called us Thursday evening after practice and told us that we need to be at the ball field at 9am Saturday morning. The team was going to be playing 2 games. After only 2 practices? I thought to myself. Well turns out it was just a scrimmage. One team didn't show up so our team decided to just play 1 game. Our game was then scheduled for 10. But this wasn't decided until we got there at 9. Goodness. But for only having 2 practices, our team played great!!!! They were knocking that ball way into the outfield and was somewhat running where they were suppose to!!
While we waited for our game to start I took the opportunity to get a couple of shots of Christian. This is not his final jersey. We of course still have to be fitted for ours but this jersey was one we had in his closet. Since the coach didn't tell us what to wear (color) we just choose this since it looked "baseball-ie"

Christian was cold during our wait so daddy handed over his jacket. :)

Pre-game talk! I tried to get Jason to be a coach for his team but he kept saying he wasn't a coach and didn't want to blah blah blah. Well guess what? After this game, he told me he wished he would have listened to me because he had a blast out there that day! HA! See honey, I was right. Anyway, since then he has tried to make it to practices and even got out on the field and filled in for a coach that was out. In the batter's circle waiting for his turn to bat.
He swings, he scores!
After every game, the teams line up and give high fives and say "good game, good game, good game" to every player. How sweet. And what a great way to learn good sportsmanship!!!
After the "good game" high five line, the coach does a small little pep talk, they all put their hands in and yell "GO TEAM" as they throw their hands up. I love it.
I never knew being a "baseball mom" was going to be this much fun. And the season hasn't even started yet!!!!! Better yet, it gives me a perfect reason to wear my jogging outfit with a baseball cap on on Saturday mornings!! "But all the moms are doing it!" :)

First T-ball practice

Well. It's official. Our "baby" boy is no longer a baby. When they can start playing sports, they aren't babies anymore. But this boy will just have to suck it up because he will always be my baby.
Just wanted to include a few pictures from the very first practice. These kids are such a mess. I love watching them play. When a kid hits the ball, instead of running to first base they chase after the ball!! Then you got the parents yelling to run to first you got the coach yelling to run to first and the boys chasing after the ball (the ones that are suppose to) start running to first base too!!! The one who is suppose to be running to first just stands there all confused!!!!! It is hilarious!!!!!
The practices usually only last for about 30 minutes. That is about the average attention span of a 4 year old. They have practices on Monday's and Thursday. Games will begin on opening day, March 26th.

Here the coaches had the players just running the bases, just to get themselves famliarized with where the bases where.
Up to bat: Christian!! Or as he has his coach calling him now, Buzz! Oh yeah, by the way, speaking of this, He has informed me he name is now Buzz Christian instead of Christian Michael. He said that his teacher won't let him change his name during school so he is Buzz on the playground. And of course his coach calls him Buzz. Oh boy.
His coach coaching. :)
Thata boy!!! He wants to throw under handed. His coach is trying to teach overhand.

I had to throw in a picture of the cutest little cheerleader I've ever laid eyes on. And can you believe her mom made this adorable outfit!?!? *wink wink* :) She was on the sidelines with me yelling for Bubba!!! When practice was over, she walked over to the field, stopped, looked at Bubba then took off with all her might as fast as those precious sweet little feet would take her and starting running to third base! LOL I think she is going to be a baseball queen instead of a ballerina.
